Trailer: DAYBREAK

Und schon wie­der eine Post­apo­ka­lyp­se. Dabei leben wir doch schon in einer Prä­a­po­ka­lyp­se … Aber das hier könn­te ganz lus­tig wer­den, die im Okto­ber auf Net­flix star­ten­de Serie DAYBREAK sieht aus wie Fer­ris Bue­l­ler trifft Mad Max. Fol­ge­rich­tig spielt auch Mat­thew Bro­de­rick mit.

Die Zusam­men­fas­sung klingt wie folgt:

DAYBREAK finds 17-year-old high school out­cast Josh sear­ching for his mis­sing girl­friend Sam in post-apo­ca­lyp­tic Glenda­le, Cali­for­nia. Joi­ned by a rag­tag group of mis­fits inclu­ding a pyro­ma­niac 12-year-old Ange­li­ca and Josh’s for­mer high school bul­ly Wes­ley, now tur­ned paci­fist samu­rai, Josh tri­es to stay ali­ve amongst the hor­de of Mad Max-style gangs (evil jocks, cheer­lea­ders tur­ned Ama­zon war­ri­ors), zom­bie-like crea­tures cal­led Ghoulies, and ever­ything else this bra­ve new world throws at him.

Das Gan­ze basiert auf dem gleich­na­mi­gen Comic von Bri­an Ralph, der 2012 erschien. Es spie­len unter ande­rem Colin Ford (Under the Dome), Aly­via Alyn Lind (Future Man), Aus­tin Cru­te (Books­mart), Sophie Sim­nett, Gre­go­ry Kas­y­an, Krys­ta Rodri­guez, Jean­té God­lock, Cody Kears­ley und eben Broderick.

Seri­en­schöp­fer sind Brad Pey­ton (RAMPAGE, SAN ANDREAS, FRONTIER) und Aron Eli Colei­te (STAR TREK DISCOVERY, HEROES).
