Es kommt nicht uner­war­tet. Allein A GAME OF THRONES erhielt einen beacht­li­chen Hau­fen an Nomi­nie­run­gen für die Emmys. Und selbst­ver­ständ­lich wur­de auch Peter Din­kla­ge für sei­ne Rol­le als Tyri­on Lan­nis­ter für den Preis in der Kate­go­rie »Best Sup­port­ing Actor« vor­ge­schla­gen, der damit direkt gegen John Slat­tery von MAD MEN antritt.
