Die Saturn Awards 2012

All­jähr­lich wer­den seit 1972 von der »Aca­de­my Of Sci­ence Fic­tion, Fan­ta­sy & Hor­ror Films« her­aus­ra­gen­de Leis­tun­gen in die­sen Jah­res im Rah­men des Saturn Awards aus­ge­zeich­net. Grün­der der Aka­de­mie war der Film­his­to­ri­ker und Dra­cu­la-Exper­te Donald A. Reed. Die Preis­ver­lei­hun­gen fan­den soeben in Bur­bank bei Los Ange­les statt.

Gro­ße Gewin­ner der Spar­te Film sind in die­sem Jahr zum einen RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES (u.a. bes­ter SF-Film) und zum ande­ren SUPER 8 (u.a. bes­te Regie für J. J. Abrams) mit jeweils drei der Aus­zeich­nun­gen.

Im Fern­seh­be­reich wur­de BREAKING BAD als bes­te TV-Serie im Bereich Kabel­fern­se­hen geehrt, den Preis für die bes­te Serie bei den Net­works erhielt FRINGE. Hier erhielt Anna Torv (Oli­via Dun­ham in FRINGE) zudem den Preis als bes­te Schau­spie­le­rin in einer Fern­seh­se­rie.
