Star City

Ron Moo­res Sci­Fi-Serie FOR ALL MANKIND um die Raum­fahrt in einer alter­na­ti­ven Geschich­te, in der die Rus­sen als ers­te auf dem Mond lan­de­ten ist erfolg­reich und wird von Zuschauer°Innen und Kritiker°innen geliebt (von mir übri­gens auch).

Des­we­gen freut es mich beson­ders, dass Apple soeben gemel­det hat, dass eine fünf­te Staf­fel geneh­migt wur­de. Show­run­ner sind wei­ter­hin Ronald D. Moo­re, Matt Wol­pert und Ben Nedi­vi.

Und nicht nur das: Es wird zudem eine Able­ger­se­rie (neu­deutsch: Spin­off) geben. Die trägt den Titel STAR CITY. Die Show­run­ner sind die­sel­ben. Der Twist: STAR CITY erzählt die Geschich­te aus der Sicht von Prot­ago­nis­ten hin­ter dem eiser­nen Vor­hang, also aus der Sowjet­uni­on. Wol­pert und Nevi­di sagen dazu:

Our fasci­na­ti­on with the Soviet space pro­gram has grown with every sea­son of ‘For All Man­kind. The more we lear­ned about this secret city in the forests out­side Moscow whe­re the Soviet cos­mo­n­auts and engi­neers work­ed and lived, the more we wan­ted to tell this sto­ry of the other side of the space race. We could not be more exci­ted to con­ti­nue buil­ding out the alter­na­te histo­ry uni­ver­se of ‘For All Man­kind’ with our part­ners at Apple and Sony.
