Die Gewinner der Primetime Emmy Awards 2017

Night­tal­ker und Come­di­an Ste­phen Col­bert mode­rier­te ges­tern die 69. Ver­lei­hun­gen der Prime­time Emmy Awards, die im Micro­soft Thea­ter in Los Ange­les ver­lie­hen wur­den und mit denen in den USA her­aus­ra­gen­de TV-Pro­duk­tio­nen aus­ge­zeich­net wer­den.

Bei den Nomi­nie­run­gen war die Phan­tas­tik stark ver­tre­ten, die meis­ten davon konn­ten HBOs WESTWORLD auf sich ver­ei­nen, näm­lich genau­so wie SATURDAY NIGHT LIFE 22 Stück, an zwei­ter Stel­le kam mit 18 Nomi­nie­run­gen Net­flix’ STRANGER THINGS (zusam­men mit FX’ Antho­lo­gie­se­rie FEUD). Aller­dings erhiel­ten bei­de Phan­tas­tik- Shows dann lei­der kei­nen ein­zi­gen der Prei­se.

Der gro­ße Gewin­ner war Hulus THE HANDMAID’S TALE, die nicht nur die gül­de­ne Figur für die bes­te Dra­ma­se­rie gewann, son­dern auch noch eine Rei­he wei­te­rer Aus­zeich­nun­gen, und  das es sich auch hier­bei um eine SF-Serie han­delt, will ich mich mal nicht beschwe­ren. Der ande­re gro­ße Gewin­ner war HBOs BIG LITTLE LIES.

Wei­ter muss man kon­sta­tie­ren, dass es die Emmy Awards der Strea­ming­diens­te war. Ama­zon, Hulu und Net­flix konn­ten ins­ge­samt 120 Nomi­nie­run­gen auf­wei­sen. Hier zeigt sich mei­ner Ansicht nach, wie deut­lich sich das klas­si­sche US-TV-Geschäft in Rich­tung Strea­ming ver­schiebt.

Beob­ach­ter merk­ten an, dass noch nie der­art vie­le Wit­ze auf Kos­ten eines US-Prä­si­den­ten gemacht wor­den sei­en, wie bei die­ser Ver­lei­hung. Alec Bald­win erhielt einen Emmy für sei­ne wie­der­hol­te Dar­stel­lung von Donald Trump in SATURDAY NIGHT LIFE.
