Wieder und nicht ganz unerwartet findet man Chna Miéville unter den Preisträgern, der den Preis für KRAKEN als bester Fantasyroman erhielt. Den Preis in der Sparte »Romane für Heranwachsende« ging an Paolo Bacigalupi für SHIP BREAKER. Die Auszeichnung für das beste Erstlingswerk ging an N.K. Jemisins THE HUNDRED THOUSAND KINGDOMS.
