Für ihr Lebenswerk werden Chelsea Quinn Yarbro und F. Paul Wilson ausgezeichnet. Yarbo wurde bekannt durch ihren Vampir-Helden Graf Saint-Germain. Sie ist die erste Frau, die den »Living Legend Award« der International Horror Guild erhielt, weiterhin war sie der erste weibliche Präsident der Horror Writer’s Association. Yarbros Romanen schreibt man zu, den Grundstein für die derzeitige Welle an »Paranormal Romance«-Romanen (im Deutschen »Romantasy« genannt) und für genreübergreifende Fiktion gelegt zu haben.
Wilson kennt man hauptsächlich durch seine REPAIRMAN JACK-Erzählungen, die aber nur einen Teil seines Buchportfolios darstellen, dieses beträgt über 40 Romane. Auch er hat bereits mehrere Genrepreise gewonnen.
Der »Lifetime Achievement Award« ist der prestigeträchtigste der Preise beim Bram Stoker Award, zu den Peisträgern gehörten unter anderem Stephen King, Anne Rice, Joyce Carol Oates, Ray Bradbury und Peter Straub. Sie werden als Anerkennung für überragende Erfolge nicht einzelner Werke sondern einer gesamten Karriere vergeben. Preisträger müssen einen profunden positiven Einfluß auf die Genres Horror und Dark Fantasy gehabt haben und entweder mindestens 60 Jahre alt sein, oder seit wenigstens 35 Jahren im Genre publizieren.
