Verliehen: die British Fantasy Awards 2011

Am letz­ten Wochen­en­de wur­den im Rah­men des Fan­ta­sy­Con in Brighton die dies­jäh­ri­gen Bri­tish Fan­ta­sy Awards ver­lie­hen. Der Preis wird seit 1972 all­jähr­lich von der Bri­tish Fan­ta­sy Socie­ty vergeben.

Den Preis als bes­ter Roman – also den August Der­leth Fan­ta­sy Award – erhielt DEMON DANCE von Sam Stone. Als bes­ter Film konn­te erneut INCEPTION eine Aus­zeich­nung ein­heim­sen und im Bereich Fern­se­hen wur­de SHERLOCK geehrt.

Den nicht in jedem Jahr ver­ge­be­nen Karl Edward Wag­ner Spe­cial Award erhielt der gro­ße Ter­ry Prat­chett, es han­delt sich bei die­sem Preis um eine beson­de­re Aus­zeich­nung durch das Kommittee.
