eReader eBookwise 1150 für 89,95 Dollar

Nook, der neue eRea­der von Bar­nes & Noble, bekommt Kon­kur­renz aus dem eige­nen Hau­se: eBook-Spe­zia­list Fic­tion­wi­se, eine B&N‑Tochter, ver­kauft ihren eBo­ok­wi­se 1150 ab sofort für unschlag­bar güns­ti­ge 89,95 Dol­lar (plus Ver­sand). Dafür erhält man aller­dings kei­nen Rea­der mit eInk, son­dern ein hin­ter­grund­be­leuch­tes LCD-Dis­play mit 5,5 Zoll Dia­go­na­le, das jedoch auch als Touch­screen arbei­tet.
Die ange­ge­be­ne Lauf­zeit von ca. 15 Stun­den ist ange­sichts der LED-Tech­nik zwar recht ordent­lich, wird aber durch einen schwe­ren Akku erkauft, der dem Gerät ein Gesamt­ge­wicht von ca. 500 Gramm (!) ver­leiht. Ergo­no­misch ist das nicht. Auch die Aus­wahl an dar­stell­ba­ren For­ma­ten ist nicht eben üppig.

Ist auch alles kein Wun­der, denn der eBo­ok­wi­se 1150 ist schon seit Jah­ren auf dem Markt und prin­zi­pi­ell tech­nisch völ­lig ver­al­tet, des­we­gen dürf­ten die Grün­de für den Preis zum einen in Lager­räu­mung und zum ande­ren in einer Wer­be­maß­nah­me zu suchen sein. Auf der ande­ren Sei­te ver­su­chen ver­gleich­ba­re Anbie­ter ihre alten Gur­ken nach wie vor für Hun­der­te von Euro an den Leser zu brin­gen… ;o)
