Ein Eas­tern, der nicht im Osten pro­du­ziert wird, so kann man wohl OUTCAST beschrei­ben. Es spie­len Nicho­las Cage (MOONSTRUCK), Hay­den Chris­ten­sen (STAR WARS – EPISODE II) und Yifei Liu (THE FORBIDDEN KINGDOM), Regie führt Nicho­las Powell. Es han­delt sich um sein Debut als Regis­seur, er ist sonst Stunt­man. Und ja, tat­säch­lich, der blond­bär­ti­ge Kerl ist Hay­den Chris­ten­sen ali­as Ana­kin Sky­wal­ker.

Irgend­wie kann ich mir auf den Trai­ler kei­nen rich­ti­gen Reim machen. Ein Kreuz­fah­rer in Chi­na? Die Inhalts­an­ga­be liest sich so:

When the heir of the Impe­ri­al thro­ne beco­mes the tar­get of an ass­as­si­na­ti­on by his des­pi­sed older brot­her, the young prin­ce must flee the king­dom and seek pro­tec­tion. His only hope for sur­vi­val is a reluc­tant war-wea­ry cru­sader named Jacob, who must over­co­me his own per­so­nal demons and ral­ly the assis­tance of a mythi­cal out­law known as The White Ghost. Tog­e­ther they must fight side by side in an epic batt­le to return the prin­ce to his rightful place on the thro­ne.

In den USA läuft der Film am 6. Febru­ar in »aus­ge­wähl­ten Kinos« an – also nur in ein paar. Ich wür­de ver­mu­ten, dass es ihn bei uns nur auf Kon­ser­ve zu sehen geben wird. Anse­hen wür­de ich ihn mir wohl mal.
