Wie­der und nicht ganz uner­war­tet fin­det man Chna Mié­ville unter den Preis­trä­gern, der den Preis für KRAKEN als bes­ter Fan­ta­sy­ro­man erhielt. Den Preis in der Spar­te »Roma­ne für Her­an­wach­sen­de« ging an Pao­lo Baci­g­alu­pi für SHIP BREAKER. Die Aus­zeich­nung für das bes­te Erst­lings­werk ging an N.K. Jemi­sins THE HUNDRED THOUSAND KINGDOMS.
