Heu­te hat die Awards of the »Aca­de­my of Moti­on Pic­tures Arts and Sci­en­ces« die Oscar-Nomi­nie­run­gen ver­öf­fent­licht. Die Ver­lei­hung des Prei­ses, der eigent­lich »Aca­de­my Award of Merit« heißt, fin­det am 22. Febru­ar 2009 statt, wenn sich die Crè­me Hol­ly­woods zur gegen­sei­ti­gen Selbst­be­weih­räu­che­rung wie­der ein­mal im Kod­ak Theat­re ver­sam­melt. Mit trä­nen­rei­chen Dan­kes­re­den an Mut­ti und Gott ist auch in die­sem Jahr zu rech­nen… ;o)

Hei­ßer Anwär­ter auf einen der gül­de­nen Strah­le­män­ner dürf­te wohl THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON sein, der in zahl­rei­chen Kate­go­rien (ins­ge­samt 13) nomi­niert wur­de. Im Gegen­satz zu den Glo­bes sind aber auch ande­re Gen­re-Ver­tre­ter zu fin­den, bei­spiels­wei­se IRON MAN, DARK KNIGHT oder WALL‑E.
