Tur­bine, Inc. hat eine um­fang­rei­che Content-Erweiterung für ihr MMO LORD OF THE RINGS ON­LINE an­ge­kün­digt. Wer jetzt al­ler­dings an­nimmt, dass die­ses Up­date un­ter dem Ti­tel RISE OF ISEN­GARD zum CATACLYSM-Killer wer­den soll, der täuscht sich, denn er­schei­nen soll diese Er­wei­te­rung frü­hes­tens im Herbst 2012.

Ex­pe­ri­ence the Rise of Isen­gard – The Epic Story con­ti­nues as the Grey Com­pany makes its way south into Dun­land, but trou­bles arise as their road ta­kes them into lands where Dun­len­ding forces, mar­sha­led by the Wi­zard Saru­man, pre­pare for war. The Ran­gers must seek new al­lies and face dan­ge­rous new foes, chief among them the trai­tor Saru­man, whose web of in­tri­gue threa­tens to end­an­ger your quest, your fri­ends, and your life.

Die Ma­xi­mal­stufe wird auf 70 an­ge­ho­ben, da­mit ein­her­ge­hend gibt es neue Skills, Traits, Vir­tues und na­tür­lich auch Ques­ten.

Das »Mons­ter Play«, also die LO­TRO–PvP–Va­ri­ante, wird grund­le­gend übe­r­ar­bei­tet, un­ter an­de­rem wird diese Op­tion für alle Spie­ler frei­ge­ge­ben, der Stu­fen­auf­stieg der Mons­tren wird ebenso wie die Skills übe­r­ar­bei­tet und es gibt ein brand­neues Ge­biet hier­für. PvMP wird al­ler­dings nicht für alle Ge­gen­den des Spiel frei­ge­ge­ben, wie man­cher­orts im Web be­rich­tet.

Und na­tür­lich wird ein neues Ge­biet frei­ge­ge­ben: Isen­gard.
