World Fantasy Awards 2009 vergeben

Am letz­ten Wo­chen­ende fand in San Jose (Ka­li­for­nien) die World Fan­tasy Con­ven­tion statt, dort wur­den die World Fan­tasy Awards 2009 ver­lie­hen.

Für ihr Le­bens­werk wur­den El­len As­her und Jane Yo­len aus­ge­zeich­net, der Preis für den bes­ten Ro­man wurde zwei­mal ver­ge­ben und ging an Jef­frey Ford für THE SHADOW YEAR (Mor­row) und Margo La­na­gan für TEN­DER MOR­SELS (Al­len & Un­win; Knopf). Bei den An­tho­lo­gien ge­wann PA­PER CI­TIES: AN AN­THO­LOGY OF UR­BAN FAN­TASY, her­aus­ge­ge­ben von Eka­te­rina Se­dia (Sen­ses Five Press).
