eReader eBookwise 1150 für 89,95 Dollar

Nook, der neue eRe­a­der von Bar­nes & No­ble, be­kommt Kon­kur­renz aus dem ei­ge­nen Hause: eBook-Spezialist Fic­tionwise, eine B&N-Tochter, ver­kauft ih­ren eBook­wise 1150 ab so­fort für un­schlag­bar güns­tige 89,95 Dol­lar (plus Ver­sand). Da­für er­hält man al­ler­dings kei­nen Re­a­der mit eInk, son­dern ein hin­ter­grund­be­leuch­tes LCD-Display mit 5,5 Zoll Dia­go­nale, das je­doch auch als Touch­screen ar­bei­tet.
Die an­ge­ge­bene Lauf­zeit von ca. 15 Stun­den ist an­ge­sichts der LED-Technik zwar recht or­dent­lich, wird aber durch ei­nen schwe­ren Akku er­kauft, der dem Ge­rät ein Ge­samt­ge­wicht von ca. 500 Gramm (!) ver­leiht. Er­go­no­misch ist das nicht. Auch die Aus­wahl an dar­stell­ba­ren For­ma­ten ist nicht eben üppig.

Ist auch al­les kein Wun­der, denn der eBook­wise 1150 ist schon seit Jah­ren auf dem Markt und prin­zi­pi­ell tech­nisch völ­lig ver­al­tet, des­we­gen dürf­ten die Gründe für den Preis zum ei­nen in La­ger­räu­mung und zum an­de­ren in ei­ner Wer­be­maß­nahme zu su­chen sein. Auf der an­de­ren Seite ver­su­chen ver­gleich­bare An­bie­ter ihre al­ten Gur­ken nach wie vor für Hun­derte von Euro an den Le­ser zu brin­gen… ;o)
